Shop Outfits from Top to Bottom:
I used to buy only designer handbags and chose them simply for the way they looked, but once I started realizing the importance of having a variety of styles for different occasions, I started looking for more affordable options. A couple of months ago I did a post on my favorite crossbody bag….it was at such a great price point and the quality has held up after the almost daily use it’s getting. So today I rounded up the best purses/handbags for multiple occasions. They are at different price points, but they are all under $180.
Everyday Crossbody: This one from Madewell is a bit more expensive than my favorite crossbody, but it’s so current with its o-ring detail that is everywhere right now, yet it’s still versatile. A neutral crossbody is perfect for the weekend because you can leave your hands free as you’re running around town doing your thing. But truly, this type of handbag is great for any day of the week. Best all around in my book.
Fancier Crossbody/Clutch: For times when you want to dress up a bit more but still keep your hands free, it’s nice to have a pretty little crossbody that’s small enough to carry just your essentials. This pink one by Kate Spade is so feminine…I love it. And it also has a removable strap so it can double as a clutch.
Polished Tote: A classic tote is great to have when you need to transport a lot of things to and from an office. It looks sleek while still having enough room for a laptop, wallet, beauty supplies, snacks…you name it. Totes are also great for travel. The best part is they never go out of style. I really like this tan leather one from Cole Haan.
Grown-up Backpack: I remember back a long time ago when using backpacks as purses was the thing to do…and the good news is, that’s back in style! Backpacks have the functionality of a tote because there’s a lot of room, and the ease of a crossbody because you can remain hands-free. This is the perfect companion for travel, as well as running errands. This colorblock version from Nordstrom is versatile and adorable.
Night-Out Clutch: Whether you’re going out for a night with your girlfriends or have a hot date with your man, you should have a bag that’s small enough to hold the essentials (I.D., credit card, lipstick, phone, key) and doesn’t add any bulk to your after-hours look. I love how sleek this Sole Society clutch is, yet it’s still modern with the added detail of the studs.
There you have it. The five handbags I think every woman should own. Happy Friday!!!
