Richmond has been warm and sunny all week and I’ve been loving it. It has been so energizing – eating meals out on our back porch, longer days, getting a lot of outdoor playtime, and being able to wear sleeveless tops and dresses without coats or jackets. With the sunshine, comes a lot of happiness.
Earlier this week, my husband and I went to a cocktail party to celebrate the end of a big job he has been working on, and I was thrilled to be able to get dressed up without having to worry about outerwear. For some reason, I always have trouble finding occasion dresses in my size….usually the smallest size I find is a size too big for me. So I end up with limited options or I get something that’s too big and have it altered. Luckily, this time I found this ABS sheath dress in my size and scooped it up right away. Since it was a professional event, I liked that this dress is more on the conservative side without sacrificing special details such as the pleat detail, the banded waist and, my favorite part, the v-back. Along with my favorite black pumps from Topshop, it ended up being the perfect outfit for a nice evening out.
