Earlier in the week we got a little dusting of snow and it got me thinking about what I like to wear when venturing outside on snow days. Today, and through the weekend, we are under a winter storm warning (if you are on the East Coast, I’m sure you are as well) and this is pretty much the exact outfit I am wearing. Unless I am doing an activity where I have to spend the whole day or several hours outside, I don’t feel the need to put on a whole snow suit…that is just too much work for me. When I go out to play in the snow, it is for short increments throughout the day. These leggings might not look like the warmest option, but they are fleece-lined and very warm and cozy. I kept the look monochromatic with mostly black pieces because something about wearing all black always makes me feel put together…even if it is only in comfortable, snow play clothes.
All of you East Coasters stay safe this weekend! If you need me today, I’ll be the one in head to toe black busting my ass to make an okay version of Olaf and getting pelted by tiny-hand sized snowballs. If not, you can be sure I’m inside curled up with my fleece-lined leggings and ratty sweatshirts!
